Projector screen size guide
Convert any 16:9 projector screen diagonal to its real width and height, with a reference table for 80 to 200 inches in inches and centimetres.
Guide
A screen's "size" is its diagonal, but placement depends on width. For a 16:9 screen, width = diagonal × 0.872 and height = diagonal × 0.490. So a 100-inch screen is 87 inches (221 cm) wide and 49 inches (124 cm) tall.
Screen sizes are quoted as the diagonal, but throw distance, wall space and seating all depend on the width and height. The 16:9 ratio means width and height are fixed fractions of the diagonal. Use the table to size your wall and the calculator to size the throw.
