Projector ceiling mount height
How high to ceiling-mount a projector and screen — image height, lens offset, screen-bottom height and keystone, with a clear guideline table.
Mount the projector so its lens lines up with the top of the image when the projector has 0% offset (most do), then fine-tune with lens shift. A 100-inch 16:9 image is 49 inches (124 cm) tall, and the screen bottom usually sits 24-36 inches (60-90 cm) above the floor for seated eye level.
Ceiling height depends on three things: the image height (fixed by screen size), the projector's vertical lens offset (varies by model — check its spec), and your seated eye level. Set the screen first, then position the projector so the image lands on it, using lens shift rather than digital keystone wherever possible.
